Some think that the suburbs of Toronto are full of nothing except parking lots and strip malls filled with the rotting decay of today’s youth. Well, that may mostly be true but when The Auras magically first started appearing onstage at Optical Sounds parties (all teenagers at the time), it was clear they’re as real as the sun in the sky.

The band self-released “The Auras EP” in late 2012 and have now teamed up with us (we freaked when we heard “The Peacock”) for a low-key re-release with a brand new album expected sometime in 2013. Sometimes jangle sometimes dream psych this 7-piece band bring it all back to its roots, and they’re just at their start!
