The Auras

Some think that the suburbs of Toronto are full of nothing except parking lots and strip malls filled with the rotting decay of today’s youth. Well, that may mostly be true but when The Auras magically first started appearing onstage at Optical Sounds parties (all teenagers at the time), it was clear they’re as real as the sun in the sky. Sometimes jangle sometimes dream psych this 7-piece band bring it all back to its roots, and they’re just at their start!

After two releases in the past two years, The Auras are the most exciting act on the OS roster. The Auras EP is a stellar debut w/ a standout track in "The Peacock" while EP 2 makes it quite clear that The Auras and their off-shoot bands (Sounds Around, Deep Space Cowboys) are sure to be a force within Toronto's psych scene.
