Like The Hoa’s, Action Makes are  now sadly gone. They had it all. Manic depressive girlfriends, alcohol problems, a gang that screamed and pulsated a garage rock stooge sound through 2005-2010. Their practice space told it all; Clint, Ryan, Stoetsie, Jay and Noel honed their technique in a smoke-filled pile of cigarettes and beer cans. Visiting girls minds would be blown away to be in such a scum rock and roll filth fantasy space, it would make their heads spin! And in turn you’d get a blowjob in the bathroom. No more jerking off in the cemetery.

Action Makes

(2010)

Action Makes is available on 150 gram vinyl and limited to a run of 500 copies. A download card is also included for those looking to make use of the music in digital MP3 format. Although it was a four-year process, Action Makes managed to transfer their powerful on stage presence and notoriously riotous live show to their first full-length vinyl, their self-titled Optical Sounds debut – Action Makes.

Released in 2010 and engineered by Mike Kuehn (Born Ruffians, Most Serene Republic), this 10-song record will, as Canada’s Exclaim Magazine says, “tingle your neck hairs”. Highlights include Buddies, Let Them Go, Pleasant Hymn Part II and Sandworms.
